Singapore is famously home to one of the most incredible airports in the world, complete with a butterfly garden, rooftop pool and even a 45ft waterfall.
Located in Asia, the airport has a vast array of activities to be getting on with while people wait for their connecting flight – or even just their first flight.
As a self-confessed ‘world-class service icon and destination in itself’, Singapore Changi Airport is a world within a world, with one Tripadvisor reviewer calling it the “best airport ever”.
Rock climbing is one of the many activities punters can be getting on with.
Managed by The Rock School Singapore, there are twenty different climbing routes you can try your hand at, while youngsters can cause carnage on the 2.5m high boulder wall round the corner.

After this you might want to go upstairs and lounge in the rooftop pool and soaking in the wonderful views, before going back inside for a free massage.
Finally, if you still have time to squeeze it in, you can visit the various indoor gardens, including the much-loved butterfly garden which is home to some rare species that you’d never see back home in the UK.
By this stage, you may want to cancel your flight and just stay there forever.

Probably one of the most eye-catching features though is the huge 45ft waterfall splashing down inside the ‘Jewel’ terminal. It is the world’s largest indoor waterfall and is surrounded by lots of tropical greenery and a futuristic shuttle train which whooshes through at branch level.
Once tourists have seen that, they can move onto the Changi Experience Studio, which has a number of interactive games, among which include a Boeing 747 racing game, or the chance to play instruments by moving your arms.
Meanwhile, you can also rattle down a winding slide – also officially the world’s tallest slide in an airport – and then rest up by going to a cinema inside the airport, which shows all the latest hits.
