Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want to spend Christmas with their children in the UK alongside the King, but he is yet to invite them, according to a friend of the couple.
Harry and Meghan last spent Christmas at Sandringham, the King's Norfolk residence, in 2018, before Princess Lilibet, two, was born and when Prince Archie, four, was still a baby. But despite the reported rift amongst The Firm, the pair want to bring their brood home for Christmas with King Charles, according to the Times.
The paper reported that a friend said that an invite has not yet been extended, though. The source reportedly said: “I can’t imagine the Sussexes would decline an invitation to spend time with His Majesty.

"As of yet, there have not been any invitations for the holidays.” Buckingham Palace declined to comment to the publication.
Sussex sources reportedly said the pair would need a “formal invitation” from the King or Buckingham Palace to be able to stay on “protected property” if they came home.
Prince Harry is in the midst of a legal battle with the Home Office over his police protections in the UK being stripped, despite him even offering to pay for it. A legal representative said the Prince is “unable to return to his home” with his family because it is too dangerous.
However, his request for accommodation on the royal estate was refused when he came home for a charity event in September.
It comes as an expert claims that a new royal book "won't inspire trust" and could make reconciliation harder for Harry and his father.

Bombshell biography Endgame by Omid Scobie will be released in full on November 28, bringing a series of fresh claims to the fore.
The release of the book will come just two weeks after Harry reportedly spoke to Charles on the phone for his birthday. The chat, which is understood to have gone well, may have been the first time the pair have had a conversation since shortly before the monarch's coronation back in May.
However, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said Endgame could threaten reconciliation. "With King Charles and Harry having chatted amiably on the monarch’s birthday, this sort of detail from his biographer is not likely to make reconciliation any easier or inspire trust," he told the Daily Star.
