A horror wedding massacre has left five dead after a “drunk” Paralympian groom got into an argument.
The shooting rampage broke out in Wang Nam Khieo district of north-east Thailand at 11:25pm. A house there was the scene of Saturday’s (November 25) wedding party for Chaturong Suksuk, 29 and Kanchana Pachunthuek, 44, but it ended in tragedy.
According to the Bangkok Post, guests are understood to have noticed that Chaturong, a former paramilitary ranger and Paralympic athlete, had appeared displeased, a detail they informed investigators of afterwards. Local media reported that the couple had an argument during the wedding, eventually leading to Chaturong heading out to his car to grab a pistol.

He began shooting, killing his bride, as well as her mother, 62-year-old Kingthong Klajorho, and her 38-year-old sister Kornika Manator. Two other guests were hit by what was described as “stray” bullets. Both were rushed to hospital but tragically one, 50-year-old Thong Nonkhunthod, passed away from injuries.
According to police, the couple had been living together for three years before they decided to get married. Unconfirmed reports speculated that he had felt insecure about the age gap with his bride, although police are understood to have repeated that this is speculation only.
Police in Chaturong said he "was quite intoxicated at the time". The motive remains unclear, although the guns and ammunition are said to have been purchased legally.
After carrying out the shooting, Chaturong is understood to have turned the gun on himself, dying instantly.
He won a silver medal at the Asean Para Games in Indonesia last year, having lost his leg serving in the paramilitary light infantry force which patrols Thailand's borders
