A five-year-old Brit boy has died on holiday after a tragic incident just a day after he and his family arrived at their holiday destination.
Kelan Logan-Derench and his family arrived in Egypt yesterday (Sunday, November 26) for what would have been the five-year-old's first holiday when tragedy struck in the pool. The youngster, from Birmingham, had travelled to the northeast African country with his mum, Ciara, older sister and grandma.
The tragic incident saw young Kelan fall into a swimming pool, with Ciara's friend Serena saying nothing could be done to save the youngster.

His family are said to be "absolutely broken" by the tragedy, with a GoFundMe now set up to bring Kelan's body home and to pay for the funeral costs.
The page reads: "Five-year-old Kelan Logan-Derench, from Sutton Coldfield, went on his first holiday abroad to Egypt on 24/11/2023 with his mum, elder sister and nan.
"Devastatingly only one day later Kelan had a tragic accident and fell into the swimming pool and heartbreakingly nothing could be done to save him and he sadly lost his life.
"Kelan was a cheeky, mischievous, happy little boy, he was a younger brother to Cienna and was about to become a big brother himself in February 2024."
The GoFundMe page is aiming to raise £15,000 which is believed to cover the cost of repatriation of Kelan's body as well as the cost of planning and hosting the funeral, The Sun reported.
The page continued: "Kelan's whole family are absolutely broken and we can only imagine the pain they are going through. The least we can do as friends of the family and as a community is to help them by offering some financial support so that they can bring Kelan home and give him the funeral he deserves."
Tributes have since poured in for the youngster who attended New Hill Primary School, with Sutton Reddicap councillor Richard Parkin saying: "My deepest sympathies and condolences go out to Kelan’s mom, family and friends for their tragic loss."
