Born in Tenerife in 1943, Sticky Vicky quickly became an unlikely household name thanks to her jaw-dropping onstage antics. She is best-known for stripping off and plucking various objects – from ping pong balls to razor blades – from her seemingly very resilient vagina.

Her show became a rite of passage for boozed-up Brits on the hunt for unorthodox X-rated entertainment. Holidaymaker Owain Laing, who convinced his girlfriend to accompany him to the show back in April, previously told the Daily Star: "We sat there like, 'Holy s**t, what the f*** is this?'

"It's an eye-opener and a life changing experience that everyone doesn’t need to see. Everyone needs to see it but they don’t need to see it at the same time.

"Everyone was there. You just look round at people’s faces and everyone has a cartoon face like all mouth and jaw and they are thinking, 'What is this…'".

Vicky was forced to retire in 2016 due to health problems, including a diagnosis of uterine cancer. Speaking to Spanish news outlet El Espanol, she said: "We were born and we have to die. But I don't want to die."

But all was not lost for the legendary Sticky Vicky show. Daughter Maria took up the baton and carried on Vicky's X-rated act.
