Grim footage showing French police tasering a hammer-wielding terrorist suspect has emerged, after the terror attack in Paris last night (December 2).
The suspect, named in French media as Armand R, was arrested by police but not before an attack which left two injured and one dead. Armand R was shot twice in the stomach by authorities armed with tasers. A video published online has now appeared to show the moment the suspect was apprehended by police, who corner the retreating Armand R before tasering him in the stomach.
Praising the police for acting quickly, French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said Armand R was “ready to kill others”, adding that he was shouting "Allahu Akbar" while carrying out the attacks. "There would doubtless have been others dead” had they not responded so fast, he said.
