Terrifying footage has emerged of a dog attacking people in a street in Birmingham after it set upon an 11-year-old girl.

The brown dog, which appears to be a bully-type breed, can been seen in a clip taken from a bus chasing people around the forecourt of a petrol station.

In total three people were bitten in the upsetting attack.

The footage was shared of the Bordesley Green incident by an account on social media platform X called Bully Watch, with the caption “out of control bully breed attacking multiple people in Birmingham today,” (September 9).

People rush to help a man the dark brown dog had set after, using nearby objects to batter away the beast as it hangs on and drags down the man.

Two men are understood to have suffered injuries to their shoulders and arms after stepping in to help.

The dog is said by police to have been put in secure kennels while an investigation into the incident is carried out.

In a statement, West Midlands Police said: “We’re investigating after three people were bitten by a dog in Birmingham yesterday (9 September).

“An 11-year-old girl ran past the dog as it was being walked by its owner in Bordesley Green, when she was bitten.

“Two men intervened but were bitten and left with injuries to their shoulders and arms.

“They were taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries.

The dog was initially taken to a local vet to be checked over before being taken into secure kennels while the investigation continues.

The owner of the dog has been spoken to by officers.

Anyone with information has been asked to get in touch via Live Chat quoting log 3245 of 9/9.

The incident comes after a farmer shot dead two XL bullies after they went on a bloody rampage against 70 sheep in a field.

The dreadful attack saw 22 pregnant sheep killed and another 48 injured after the monster dogs escaped from their home.

The incident happened in the village of Rhosllanerchrugog, near Wrexham, in March, but now the dogs’ owner has admitted offences relating to the attack.
