James Bulger's killer Jon Venables is to 'fight' a Parole Board decision to keep him behind bars, as he laments a 'miscarriage of justice'.
Venables, who murdered two-year-old James Bulger in 1993 when he was just 10-years-old, will now spend at least two more years behind bars as a result of a decision made last week (Wednesday, December 13). Parole chiefs determined Venables, now 41, is still a danger to society.
The Sun reported that the evil killer "was ranting and raving and promising to appeal" after the decision. The publication quoted a source as saying that Venables reckons "he was the victim of a miscarriage of justice."

"He does have the right to appeal, and knows as well as anyone how to exploit his rights," the source added.
"Given his background, most sane people would agree with the [Parole Board] decision."
Venables has 21 days to lodge an appeal, meaning the victim's family can't fully relax over Christmas, despite the likelihood of a release being low.
It come as James’ dad Ralph today spoke of the “mental torture” he faces everyday.
Speaking on TalkTV, he said: “I’m glad he’s being kept in. The public’s a bit more safe for two years. It’s a bit of a result.

“It’s just two years of not having to worry about him.”
James’ mum Denise Fergus spoke of her “pure relief and elation” after the decision.
Venables and pal Robert Thompson, both aged 10, horrifically murdered two-year-old James Bulger on a railway line in Walton, Merseyside. The pair, who snatched the toddler from a shopping centre in Merseyside in 1993, spent eight years behind bars before they were released in 2001.
While Thompson has reportedly not reoffended, Venables has since been recalled to jail twice, in 2010 and 2017, after being caught with sickening child abuse images.
