Ukraine: Forces recapture Boyko towers in the Black Sea
During the search for missing British ex-soldier Daniel Burke, human remains in an advanced condition of decomposition have been discovered in Ukraine, near to the battle zone.
These remains were discovered by detectives, but they were too degraded to identify visually.
Daniel Burke, a 36-year-old former British soldier, was last seen in Zaporizhzia on August 11, a long way from the nearest frontlines, which are more than 15 miles away.
According to a police source, investigators are keeping an open mind and diligently following up on all leads.
Burke, a former paratrooper from Manchester, had several distinguishing tattoos and had created the Dark Angels group the previous year—a team of international volunteers led by the British.

Kim Jong Un’s inspection of Russian military hardware
Today, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un embarked on a significant visit, inspecting Russia’s nuclear-capable strategic bombers, hypersonic missiles, and naval vessels. The inspection took place at Russia’s Knevichi airfield, situated approximately 30 miles from Vladivostok, where he was warmly received by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
Russian military’s ‘culture of deception’ hindering success in Ukrainee
Lieutenant General Andrei Gurulev, a Russian parliament deputy, has cited a culture of dishonesty within the Russian military as a major obstacle to victory in Ukraine. Gurulev suggests that false reports have led to poor decision-making across various command levels, resulting in Russian troops retreating by up to 10 kilometres in some areas. He also noted that Ukrainian forces are making strategic use of abandoned Russian defensive positions.
