The lucky winner of a £148 million Euromillion prize claims that it ruined her life, ended her relationship, and turned her family against her.
Gillian Bayford won the jackpot won the prize with her now ex-husband Adrian Bayford in 2012. The pair separated just 15 months after winning the prize.
Shortly after Gillian’s relationship with her family also broke down and they stopped speaking with each other – despite having gifted them £20 million from her winnings.

She also helped her family by paying off their £700,0000 debt from failed business ventures. But Gillian claims that her dad not only tried to take control of the money she won but he also tried to claim control of her business.
The lotto winner from Haverhill, Suffolk, also gave her father and mother the money to buy an apartment in Carnoustie, Scotland and a new car. When she won the money, her parents were living in a caravan.
But claims that they kept asking for more and more money. So she gave her brother another £800,000 for another business venture – but after receiving the money, she claims they stopped talking to her.

In 2016, she told SunOnline: “It's upsetting and raw. The money was supposed to make everybody happy. But it's made them demanding and greedy. They (my family) have lost touch with where they've come from.”
She said: “My dad and brother had debts of £700,000 on the day we won. That was the first thing we paid for.
“Adrian’s family had to wait weeks but my parents and brother were first. They got their cars and houses before anyone.”

Brother Colin has a £288,000 house, drives Audis with private plates and married his girlfriend without telling Gillian. She claims that they were flaunting their wealth and angering locals.
Gillian, who now lives in Dundee, said: “They have lost touch with where they’ve come from. They’re rubbing people’s noses in it by flashing their cash, which I think is downright nasty.”
She said they fell out with her because of a story in the paper which embarrassed her parents.
