Get your swimsuits at the ready, as a huge new £250million water park is coming to the UK complete with over 20 pools, 35 water slides, a wave pool, and the UK's first indoor beach.
The huge attraction will also offer slower-paced but equally exciting features such as thermal baths, an on-site spa, 30 saunas, as well as a plethora of fitness classes and a 'wellbeing garden' for those in need of a bit of R&R.
Therme Manchester will open in – you guessed it – Manchester, with construction expected to start at the end of the year. It's estimated that it could take around two years to build.

The project got a huge boost this week as Trafford Council’s planning committee approved revised plans for the 28-acre complex. ConstructionEnquirer reports that instead of being one giant building, the complex will now be a series of connected roofed pavilions (which we imagine will be handy for those days when the British weather inevitably lets us down).
The resort has already given Brits plenty of sneak peeks at what they could expect from the attraction thanks to a number of CGI renderings, and it's definitely going on our staycation wishlist.
The attraction will also have huge indoor and outdoor gardens with the likes of palm trees and tropical plants, so you'll really feel like you've jet-setted off somewhere exotic when you're there for a day out. In fact, its rose-shaped botanical garden is expected to be home to 1,500 biodiverse trees. The site's 10,000 sqm garden will also boast thousands of plants, urban farms and beehives.
Therme Manchester will be located in Peel L&P'S TraffordCity, opposite the Trafford Centre and Barton Square. A statement from the group stated: "Therme Manchester will be a one-of-a-kind destination that offers a fun and relaxing holiday at home while helping to boost the health and wellbeing of all who visit. At 28 acres, the size of 19 football pitches, Therme Manchester is expected to become one of the top three all-season water-based destinations in the world."
It's expected that it will take approximately two years for the water park to be finished, although it's not yet clear if it may open in phases, which can often be the case on projects of this nature. The resort hasn't yet revealed what people can expect when it comes to ticket prices, but its website does promise 'entry prices to suit every budget'.
