Crunchy leaves, crisp blue mornings and hot drinks in cosy cafes, there’s a lot to love about the autumn season.
Although the UK has plenty of gorgeous destinations to celebrate autumn, there’s also some incredible hotspots in Europe.
The travel expert team at Wizz Air shared a top destination for tourists looking to spend autumn abroad.
They suggested the storybook city of Bydgoszcz, a “beautiful” spot in northern Poland, just a short flight from the UK.
A spokesperson said: “Close to Poznan and Toruń, Bydgoszcz is a charming city with attractions to keep you occupied all weekend long.

“Start your day by perusing Mill Island, a historic area located in Old Town Bydgoszcz. On a lovely autumn day, Mill Island is perfect for taking scenic photos.”
A green enclave in the heart of the city, Mill Island has a gorgeous park and alleys flanked by trees. Tourists can also see examples of old buildings, including mills and grain warehouses.
A tourist wrote on Tripadvisor: “Next to the old town, beautiful square and surroundings. Lots of museums around and places to hang out or just have a walk.”

Bydgoszcz also has a unique museum tourists might want to check out. The quirky Museum of Soap and History of Dirt offers tourists the chance to get hands on with a soap workshop.
The Cathedral of St Martin’s and St Nicholas has beautiful stained windows and ornate design that’s well worth a look.
