AmaWaterways has added a fourth course to its interactive educational platform, AmaAcademy.
The new Course 4, titled “The Rhine, Main and Moselle Rivers with AmaWaterways,” will highlight the exclusive experiences, pre- and post-cruise land packages and sales tips designed to help travel advisors sell cruises to clients who are new or returning to the brand.
It joins the existing three courses in AmaAcademy’s educational platform, each focusing on different aspects of the AmaWaterways river cruise product and sales tactics.
Course 1, “AmaWaterways, Heart of the River,” is an introductory course that outlines the history, people and important product features.
Course 2, “The Danube River with AmaWaterways,” provides travel advisors with knowledge and tips that can be used to inspire their clients to sail on the Danube as a first-time cruise experience.
Course 3, “Group Business with AmaWaterways,” offers information on group bookings, including ideas on how to attract new groups.
Travel agent incentives
Advisors qualify for reduced fam rates after
completing Course 1, and graduates who make a new reservation within 90
days of completing any of the four courses will receive a $50 gift card.
New
advisors to AmaAcademy can earn $200 in reward gift cards by completing
all four courses and making four reservations within 90 days of each
completed course.
The AmaAcademy courses can be found on the company’s travel advisor portal, which provides access to a range of travel advisor tools, such as the Online Booking Engine, current promotions and 30 marketing tool kits. Among the tool kits available: the Grand River Cruises Toolkit, which provides details on Ama’s 14-night and longer cruise itineraries, and the From Oceans to Rivers Toolkit, which highlights sales strategies and resources advisors can use to encourage ocean cruisers to book an AmaWaterways river cruise.
