The XUV300 is expected to be offered with an Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
The Mahindra XUV300 is due to get a midlife makeover. Besides cosmetic changes and new features, the SUV will reportedly get a new automatic transmission as well.
According to a media report, Mahindra is replacing the 6-speed AMT with an Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. That being said, it is still unclear if the new transmission will be offered across petrol and diesel variants or will be specific to a particular engine.
The updated XUV300 is expected to be offered with the same engine options as before. These include a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol producing 108 BHP, a 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol with 129 BHP and a 115 BHP 1.5-litre diesel unit.
Speaking of cosmetic updates, the XUV300 facelift is expected to borrow design cues from the BE.05 electric SUV. On the inside, the SUV is likely to get a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster and a panoramic sunroof.
