The BMW iX1 is an all-electric version of the third-generation X1.
BMW has released a teaser image of its upcoming electric SUV, the iX1. It is expected to be launched in the Indian market in the coming week.
The BMW iX1 is an all-electric version of the third-generation X1. Reports suggest that it could be offered in the xDrive30 variant with a price tag of around Rs. 60-65 lakh (ex-showroom).
The iX1 uses a dual-motor setup with a combined output of 313 BHP and 494 Nm. It is powered by a 64.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that is said to offer a range of 438 km on a single charge. The iX1 comes with an 11 kW charger. It is also capable of fast charging with a capacity of up to 130 kW.
On the outside, the iX1 looks similar to the ICE version, except for a few details. The SUV has a blanked-off front fascia in BMW’s typical twin-kidney design and redesigned LED headlamps. It also gets new alloy wheels and a reworked rear end.
