Authorities believe there may be more victims, reports WBAL.<\/p>\n<p>The alleged offences took place while Curtis was a teacher in Montgomery County in Maryland, US. On October 5, The Montgomery County Department of Police \u2013 Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) began investigating claims made by an adult man saying he had sexual relations with Curtis when he was too young to give legal consent.<\/p>\n<p><b>READ MORE: Putin&apos;s &apos;successor&apos; makes chilling nuclear threat after Vlad death rumours<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><i>For more brilliantly bizarre<\/i><\/b><b><i> news from the Daily Star, <\/i><\/b><b><i>click here<\/i><\/b><b><i>.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.mirror.co.uk\/incoming\/article31387996.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_PAY-Melissa-Marie-Curtis2.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>An arrest warrant was obtained for Curtis on October 31, which saw her charged with the sexual abuse of a minor and several counts of third and fourth-degree sexual offences. She turned herself in on Tuesday (November 7) and is currently awaiting a bond hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators said the alleged abuse began in January 2015, when Curtis was 22 and the alleged victim was 14, and lasted until May of that year \u2013 all while she was a teacher at Montgomery Village Middle School.
