{"id":120711,"date":"2023-11-03T12:29:12","date_gmt":"2023-11-03T12:29:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leviolonrouge.com\/?p=120711"},"modified":"2023-11-03T12:29:12","modified_gmt":"2023-11-03T12:29:12","slug":"eu-country-faces-huge-rise-in-illegal-migrants-as-armed-officers-start-crackdown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leviolonrouge.com\/world-news\/eu-country-faces-huge-rise-in-illegal-migrants-as-armed-officers-start-crackdown\/","title":{"rendered":"EU country faces huge rise in illegal migrants as armed officers start crackdown"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Poland: Security forces clash with migrants on Belarus border<\/h3>\n<p>Germany has moved to crack down on illegal migration, as Chancellor Olaf Scholz U-turns on border controls.<\/p>\n<p>The number of illegal entries into Germany this year is set to be their highest since 2016.<\/p>\n<p>There is growing frustration among Germans, who are increasingly turning to the far-right for solutions.<\/p>\n<p>In a bid to get a grip on the situation, Mr Scholz\u2019s Government has recently introduced checks on the borders of neighbouring states such as Poland, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p>These checks allow border officers to check for people-smugglers and illegal migrants.<\/p>\n<p> <strong> READ MORE: <\/strong> <strong>Final Solution claim on Question Time stuns Fiona Bruce and Jewish campaigner<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/78\/590x\/secondary\/Germany-5047543.jpg?r=1699012948994\"><\/p>\n<p>The BBC spoke with residents of Altenberg, a small Saxon town on the border with the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n<p>The mayor, Markus Wiesenberg, said that smugglers drop off people as often as once a day in the town.<\/p>\n<p>He said the influx had placed a strain on local services.<\/p>\n<p>Mayor Wiesenberg added: &#8220;Sometimes local people find sleeping bags and campfires in the woods and they are worried for their children.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He said that it seems that Germany &#8220;did not learn the lesson of 2015&#8221; &#8211; referring to the last European migration crisis.<\/p>\n<p>The Altenberg mayor added: &#8220;We are as unprepared as then.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/78\/590x\/secondary\/Germany-5047544.jpg?r=1699012949066\"><\/p>\n<p> <strong> Don&#8217;t miss&#8230; <\/strong> <br \/> <strong>The BBC is wrong! For me the young migrants who come here, they are armies &#8211; and when the order comes for them to take action, then we&#8217;re done. Then Germany is done.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Political polls have regularly placed the far-right, anti-immigration party, Alternative f\u00fcr Deutschland (AfD), ahead of the three governing parties.<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Scholz has this week introduced new rules to speed up the deportation of failed asylum seekers.<\/p>\n<p>Steffen Hebestreit, Mr Scholz\u2019s spokesman, said: \u201cIt\u2019s clear that we have to restrict irregular migration and to send back more quickly the people who have no right to stay.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/78\/590x\/secondary\/germany-5047541.jpg?r=1699012949129\"><\/p>\n<p>Under the new rules, deportations will no longer have to be announced in advance and the amount of time a person can be kept in pre-deportation custody will be increased from 10 to 28 days.<\/p>\n<p>Some senior political figures in Germany, including from the governing coalition, are calling for third-country deals.<\/p>\n<p>This prompted Chancellor Scholz to travel to Nigeria this week to try and boost the number of returns.<\/p>\n<p>Germany remains a top destination for asylum seekers.<\/p>\n<p>In August, Germany received around 30 per cent of the 100,000 applications lodged within the EU, Norway and Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/world\/1831111\/EU-border-Germany-illegal-migrants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read Full Article<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Poland: Security forces clash with migrants on Belarus border Germany has moved to crack down on illegal migration, as Chancellor Olaf Scholz U-turns on border controls.
