Get the biggest stories and wackiest takes from the Daily Star, including our special WTF Wednesday email<\/p>\n<p>We have more newsletters<\/p>\n<p>A notorious ex-gangster who tragically took his own life with a firearm yesterday had a lavish three-course meal hours before the grim event.<\/p>\n<p>Dave Courtney, 64, was a member of the notorious Richardson gang based in south Long in the 1960s. He posted pictures of himself there on social media . . . but he was dead just a few hours later, and was, according to sources, found with a pillow \u201cplaced across his face and had been shot in the head\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31254564.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_PAY-Emergency-services-were-called-to-Chestnust-Rise-in-Plumstead-this-morning-There-are-ex-London-gan.jpg\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<figure data-mod=\"image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31240532.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s458\/0_haunted-Banner.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p> Inside \u2018Hell House\u2019 tormented by demons, moving dolls, &apos;crying sounds&apos; and hidden bodies<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/s2-prod.mirror.co.uk\/@trinitymirrordigital\/chameleon-branding\/publications\/dailystar\/img\/logo-schema-dailystar.png\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Police and the London Ambulance Service were called to his home, also known Camelot Castle, in the early hours of yesterday morning, where he was pronounced dead at the scene, with a police investigation into the \u201cunexpected death\u201d underway. The 64-year-old converted the former school into a white mansion and decked it out with guns, swords, suits of armour, images of the late Queen, and a bust of his own head.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31254565.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_Ronnie-Biggs-Funeral-in-London.jpg\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<figure data-mod=\"image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31238588.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s458\/0_JS314456887_main.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p> &apos;Monster 15-foot shark totally shredded my leg \u2013 but one disgusting act saved my life&apos;<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/s2-prod.mirror.co.uk\/@trinitymirrordigital\/chameleon-branding\/publications\/dailystar\/img\/logo-schema-dailystar.png\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It also boasts a nightclub and a sex dungeon \u2013 where adult films were shot. Courtney, who led a wild life, previously admitted he had starred in a porn film and his wife found out on their wedding night.
