A young woman has been left with a \u201cmonster\u201d black eye and a wonky face after being headbutted by a furious cow.<\/p>\n

Cathrene Mieras was walking her family dog on a leash through the cattle field when she was attacked. She had headphones in and was listening to a podcast at the time.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old didn\u2019t see anything out of the ordinary when she meandered into the field in Cumbria. But mid-walk the rampaging beast caught the corner of her eye.<\/p>\n

She had no time to escape before the 70-stone beast attacked, headbutting her twice, before wandering off. She was left screaming in pain and calling for help.<\/p>\n

Catherene was rushed to hospital for an x-ray with a "monster" black eye and a "wonky" face. She also suffered jaw pain and couldn\u2019t eat solid food for two weeks afterwards.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old said: "I thought it was going to kill me, it's the most scared I've been in my entire life. I started walking into the field, and the next thing I remember is I looked up, because I was looking down at the dog saying 'good boy', and this big brown cow was just charging towards me.<\/p>\n
