Sir Keir Starmer was presented with a word cloud on what voters think he stands for in an awkward moment during a BBC interview this morning.

The term “nothing” was at the centre of the graphic on the BBC’s Sunday With Laura Kuenssberg programme.

Host Victoria Derbyshire explained they had done the same with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey in previous weeks.

The word cloud is made up of research by More in Common asking people to say in one or two words what they think each party leader stands for.

Ms Derbyshire said: “What do you hope they said about you?”

Sir Keir replied: “I don’t know but I think you’re about to tell me.”

Other words include “no idea”, “don’t know” and “not sure”.

But some were more positive including “equality”, “change”, “fair”, “justice” and “leader”.
