Mr Wallace said President Zelensky should now consider conscripting Ukraine\u2019s youth as Russia mobilises its young people to fight in the war.<\/p>\n
While he accepted the Ukrainian leader\u2019s desire to \u201cpreserve the young for the future\u201d, he suggested they must now be considered to join the fight \u201cas Britain did in 1939 and 1941\u201d.<\/p>\n
He used an op-ed for the Telegraph as a rallying cry to demand Britain and its NATO allies \u201ckeep the hope going\u201d and back it up with funding and equipment.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cWhen hope is combined with the right equipment, there is no stopping Ukraine.<\/p>\n

His army has lost more than 2,500 tanks, 6,500 armoured vehicles and nearly 300,000 dead or injured. Not a single commander who led the major Russian units into Ukraine is still in place.<\/p>\n \u201cPutin is desperately grasping at the final two things that can save him \u2013 time and the splitting of the international community. Britain can do something about both.\u201d<\/p>\n
