<\/p>\nMore than half of the UK's women are attracted to prison convicts, a new study has shown.<\/p>\n
According to data collated by Illicit Encounters, 54% of women survey said they would consider dating a prisoner. They also found that 39% of them found them \u201csexy\u201d, while 19% find the mysteriousness of them a turn on.<\/p>\n
For some women, their rationale remains an unsolved mystery \u2013 with 9% admitting they can\u2019t put their finger (print) on why they lust for lawbreakers. A further 49% said they wouldn\u2019t be put off by the crimes they\u2019d committed.<\/p>\n

The situation has happened many times in real life, as former prison officer Emily Watson performed a sex act on a prisoner in his cell on Christmas Day in 2018.<\/p>\n
Katie Loxton, 27, was caught "performing sexual acts" with Adam Higgs, 32, while on the phone to him during their illicit affair at HMP Oakwood, Staffordshire earlier this year.<\/p>\n

And Ayshea Gunn, also 27, was handed her own 12-month sentence in 2019 after she entered into a sexual relationship with Khuram Razaq, while he was serving a 12-year sentence for conspiracy to commit robbery.<\/p>\n
Sex and relationship expert Jessica Leoni said: \u201cThere\u2019s something thrilling about falling in love with someone you shouldn\u2019t and it often happens in a big way, and there\u2019s something extra romantic about dating a prisoner.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou\u2019re surrounded by razor wire and high brick walls \u2013 it\u2019s all very dangerous. Everyone\u2019s out to get you, telling you it won\u2019t work, but you\u2019re in love, like Cinderella finding her prince, and no one\u2019s going to stop you. If that doesn\u2019t sound like a romance novel I don\u2019t know what does.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen someone\u2019s behind bars for a long time you\u2019re able to keep them at arm\u2019s length, especially as a female prison guard, you are the one in power which can be a welcomed change for many women. Not forgetting that prisoners have so much time on their hands they can put all their love and attention into you.\u201d<\/p>\n
The survey also found that 36% of women thought that dating a former lag would be \u201cthrilling,\u201d while 28% of them wanted to \u201cprotect\u201d them. And 18% said that it didn't matter why the person was convicted, because another 16% wanted to \u201csee a different side of them\u201d.<\/p>\n
The expert added that the allure of a \u201cbad boy\u201d is all down to a good old dose of hormones and a dash of rebellion. She continued: \u201cMany women are attracted to 'bad boys' because they see something in them that they don\u2019t have.<\/p>\n

\u201cPerhaps the woman has been a 'good girl' all her life, toed the line and not broken the rules, and had or has strict parents. This makes them attracted to the freedom and rebelliousness of a 'bad boy' who does what he wants and doesn\u2019t care who\u2019s watching.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut beware, as women, we also have a caring tendency and feel like we want to look after men who are on the wrong path. It\u2019s, again, in our DNA to want to care for them and even change them.\u201d<\/p>\n
