Kate Middleton may not forgive Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for "years" after the pair launched a series of "personal" attacks at the Princess of Wales.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex didn't hold back criticising their relatives after they famously stepped down from royal duties back in 2020. Kate often found herself on the receiving end of some of the couple's more barbed claims, including that the princess made Meghan "cry" on the former Suits star's wedding day.

Royal commentator Duncan Larcombe, speaking to New! magazine, said the spate of accusations had caused emotional damage it would take the princess a long time to recover from. "Some of what Harry and Meghan have said, particularly about Kate, was so personal, and it's going to take years to heal the hurt because of the damage that's been done," he said.

Kate and husband Prince William once made up the "Fab Four" alongside Harry and Meghan before the Sussexes left the Firm to start their own lives in Montecito, California. Since then tensions have remained high between the two couples, with the Stateside pair taking aim at the future King and Queen in multiple tell-all interviews, Netflix documentaries and Harry's memoir, Spare.
