A Southern California car garage owner has shown why ignoring certain red flags with your vehicle can spell trouble.<\/p>\n

The technician, William Chang, was filmed and uploaded to TikTok fixing his customer\u2019s car after a wheel had fallen off by replacing its hub assembly.<\/p>\n

Another employee at the garage went on camera to share what he heard from this customer.<\/p>\n

The mechanic said the customer told him: \u201cI was hearing something \u2014 so I just raised the radio up.<\/p>\n

This technician added that the client described smelling metal while \u2014 a byproduct of issues like clutch or brake failure.<\/p>\n

Eventually, the customer\u2019s wheel fell off on the road, leading him to Chang\u2019s Santa Fe Springs, California-based garage.<\/p>\n

While studying the wheel hub\u2019s broken assembly, Chang said, \u201cThis is my first time I\u2019ve ever seen this.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe [hub\u2019s] stud fell off, and as it was spinning, it hit the bolt and damaged them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chang proceeded to highlight a separate bolt that got bent.<\/p>\n

Removing these defective parts allowed Chang to reconfigure the wheel hub\u2019s assembly to specification.<\/p>\n

Lastly, Chang had his TikTok\u2019s camera operator film a DIY repair attempt that raised more questions than answers.<\/p>\n

The camera zoomed in to show that the car\u2019s owner used a USB charging cord to hold his front bumper on.<\/p>\n

One viewer commented on Chang\u2019s TikTok: \u201cThe d**n USB holding the front together,\u201d followed by a crying laughing emoji face.<\/p>\n

Another TikTok account wrote: \u201cI want my next relationship to be as strong as that USB.\u201d<\/p>\n

A third viewer chimed in, saying: \u201cWith my little knowledge of car parts, the whole video I\u2019m thinking \u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s [the customer\u2019s vehicle] that\u2019s supposed to look like that.\u201d<\/p>\n
