Prince Harry will "never forgive" King Charles after the monarch made the "hate-filled" decision to strip him of his honorary military titles, according to a royal expert.

The Duke of Sussex, who served two tours in Afghanistan in his youth, held multiple titles including commodore-in-chief of small ships and diving, honorary air commandant of RAF Honington and captain general of the Royal Marines.

However, his father removed the honours when Harry officially stepped down from royal duties, a move author of Our King: The Man and the Monarch Revealed Robert Jobson said the prince wasn't happy about.

"He hates the idea that he is not captain general of the Royal Marines… and he hates the fact that he’s lost all these positions," Jobson told True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat on Monday (September 5).

"If he’d been in the Royal Family, and not gone down this path, I think he’d have been hugely beneficial to the country, and he could have done even more."

Harry's titles were awarded to him by his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.

However, Harry sensationally quit the Royal Family in January 2020 alongside wife Meghan Markle, with the pair even leaving the UK behind in favour of Montecito, California.

Shortly afterwards his father made the drastic choice to remove the accolades.
