We saw a number of police officers get out with guns and tasers.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The approached the dog, it was on next door&apos;s drive, and kind of circled around it. Within three seconds they shot it at point blank.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>The witness, writing on a local Facebook group page, claimed the dog was seen &quot;approaching people&apos;s doors&quot; and that officers &quot;didn&apos;t want to take any chances&quot;.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article30854225.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_ABNM_MEN_03092023_DOG_ATTACK_87217JPG.jpg\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<figure data-mod=\"image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article30803216.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s458\/0_ABeautifulAmericanBullyXlDogInNature.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p> &apos;Deadly&apos; dog breed 270 times more likely to kill Brits than any other as fatalities rise<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/s2-prod.mirror.co.uk\/@trinitymirrordigital\/chameleon-branding\/publications\/dailystar\/img\/logo-schema-dailystar.png\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: &quot;At around 8.15am this morning (Sunday), officers were called to reports of two loose dogs in the Moorside area of Oldham.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Specialist officers and emergency services attended the scene and found that another dog and a member of the public had been bitten by the two dangerous dogs and were acting in an aggressive manner.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The injured member of the public and dog are receiving medical treatment.
