<\/p>\nA woman has left social media users stiunned as she managed to keep her cool while great white shark was on the approach.<\/p>\n
In the video, a pair of girls were seen running and screaming from a great white prowling just metres from the shore of a beach in Massachusetts, US.<\/p>\n
However, the pair were slammed by a calm woman who told them "this isn't sharknado" as they fled the water in a state of hysterics.<\/p>\n

The footage shows the moment two beach goers spotted a 3m long great white shark swimming in the shallows.<\/p>\n
The huge predator skims beneath the waves before a dorsal fin breaks through the water, prompting frightened kids to scream and beg their mum for help.<\/p>\n

A woman standing behind the camera is unimpressed with the killer carnivore however, saying: "It\u2019s not coming on the sand, this isn\u2019t Sharknado."<\/p>\n
The footage was captured by Kay Marie at Outer Beach, an area which has seen an unusual rise in shark encounters over recent weeks.<\/p>\n
A clip was uploaded to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy's Facebook page, where it has already racked up more than 700,000 hits.<\/p>\n

Viewers were quick to draw comparisons to Steven Spielberg's thriller \u2013 filmed in nearby Martha's Vineyard.<\/p>\n
"It's terrifying to think this is the same waters Jaws the movie was filmed in," one wrote.<\/p>\n
Another added: "Truly horrifying \u2013 and not the first we've seen in Cape Cod recently."<\/p>\n
A third joked: "Sharknado? More like Jaws."<\/p>\n

It comes after a brave surfer who was bitten by a shark managed to swim 600m back to shore in a desperate bid to save his own life.<\/p>\n
The courageous bloke, in his 20s, was attacked by a great white shark at popular hotspot Gnarabup Beach in the Margaret River region of Western Australia at 8.45am yesterday morning (Monday, July 24).<\/p>\n
Despite being attacked by the apex predator, the man managed to free himself from the beast's death drip and somehow swam back to shore despite losing 'a lot of blood.<\/p>\n
