Gillian Keegan was on holiday in Spain last week when the school concrete crisis first unfolded, it has been revealed. The revelation adds to the pressure The Education secretary has come under after being criticised for mishandling the closure of more than 100 schools because of fears over crumbling concrete, just days before the start of term.<\/p>\n
The Education secretary has been slammed by fuming Tories as a “damning indictment” of Rishi Sunak\u2019s cabinet after she claimed she was doing a “f***ing good job” in a hot mic TV clip.<\/p>\n
She was caught out as when she said others had “sat on their a****” without knowing her mic was still on after an interview with ITV News. The comments came after politicians called for Rishi Sunak and his cabinet to “get a grip” over the school concrete crisis.<\/p>\n
Ms Keegan was later forced by Downing Street to apologise for swearing on TV.<\/p>\n
