WWE legend The Undertaker set for Cardiff show on Clash at the Castle weekend

The Undertaker will be in Cardiff for the blockbuster WWE Clash at the Castle weekend as the Hall of Famer brings his new show to the city.

WWE are taking over Cardiff for the mammoth event at the Principality Stadium on Saturday, 3rd September.

More than 60,000 tickets are thought to have been snapped up by wrestling fanatics, eager to be part of what will be WWE’s first stadium show on these shores since 1992.

The build-up has already been huge, with a mammoth clash between WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Brit Drew McIntyre already confirmed.

Shayna Baszler will also challenge for the SmackDown Women’s title when she goes up against Liv Morgan.

Now, fans in Cardiff for the show have been handed an even bigger boost with the news that The Undertaker will be in town to perform on the eve of the show.

The legend, who racked up 30 years performing in WWE prior to his retirement, will be bringing his unique one-man show to the city’s New Theatre Cardiff Venue.

The company announced: “UNDERTAKER 1 deadMAN SHOW will feature “The Phenom” in an intimate setting, sharing never-before-heard stories from his Hall of Fame career and taking questions from the WWE Universe in attendance.”

The date will mark the show’s international debut, having been performed only in the US previously ahead of WWE SummerSlam last month.

There’s no suggestion as yet that The Phenom will be appearing at Clash at the Castle the following day, but die-hard fans will be keeping fingers crossed for a cameo from one of the industry’s biggest ever stars.

Played by grappler Mark Calaway The Undertaker made his debut in 1990, the menacing mortician appearing at the Survivor Series.

Calaway, now 56, racked up memorable moments and world championships galore over the course of 30 years, before hanging up his black hat at the 2020 Survivor Series.

The star was inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame ahead of WrestleMania in Texas earlier this year.

Tickets for UNDERTAKER 1 deadMAN SHOW go on sale this Friday, August. 12, at 10 am BST via NewTheatreCardiff.co.uk.

WWE Clash at the Castle takes place Saturday, Sept. 3, live from the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Tickets are currently available via Ticketmaster.
