The Queen has reportedly been introduced to her oldest grandson's new girlfriend and was left "delighted" by Peter Phillips' new partner, Lindsay Wallace.
Reports suggest Her Majesty was introduced to Wallace by her eldest grandson at a shooting party held at Windsor, The Sun reported.
The meeting comes almost two years after Peter announced he and ex-wife Autumn were separating, with their divorce finalised in June last year.
Royal insiders believe that the "couple are serious" after Peter introduced his new girlfriend to the long-reigning monarch.
A source told the paper: "The Queen is one of the most important people in Peter's life so it's only right that he introduces Lindsay to her."
The source continued: "It was a very warm meeting and the Queen was clearly delighted to meet someone who makes Peter so happy.
"It may still be early days but Peter wanted his grandmother to see he was happy. It is a clear sign that Lindsay has now been firmly welcomed into The Firm and a major first step if they were to ever choose to get married.
"The Queen just wants to see Peter to be happy".
Peter and his ex-wife, Autumn, revealed in February 2020 that they had split after 12 years of marriage.

They both continue to live at Gatcombe Park, Princess Anne's estate, to co-parent their two daughters, Savannah and Isla.
It has been reported that Peter and Lindsay grew close after Lindsay's marriage also broke down.
A school friend of Peter's sister, Zara Tindall, Lindsay attended the prestigious Gordonstoun school in Scotland and was a guest at Zara's wedding to Mike Tindall in 2011.
In November, Lindsay and Peter, who is 18th in line to the throne and holds no royal titles, were pictured arriving together in a car for a christening for Zara's son, Lucas.
