Putin humiliated after Russian army chief admits huge war losses in new blunder

Russian president Vladimir Putin has been humiliated yet again by his Russian army chiefs who admitted to a massive series of fresh war losses.

Their recent blunder during the war in Ukraine has revealed thousands of paratroopers were killed by president Volodymyr Zelenskyy's forces.

A high-ranking official let slip the official figures, with Commander-in-Chief General Colonel Mikhail Teplinsky seemingly admitting Russia's military had suffered major losses, Express reported.

The Russian Airborne Forces head had an update on the state of the paratrooper division, with a total of 8,500 "wounded and later returned to duty or had refused to leave the front line" claimed by Commander Teplinsky.

But his update was quickly removed, the UK's Ministry of Defence reported, with the blunder "deleted" as the Defence Ministry believes it was overshadowing the initial celebratory day Russian officials had held.

The UK's MoD described the incident as an "apparently unsanctioned disclosure of the scope of the casualties the elite force has suffered in Ukraine".

Teplinksy's embarrassing blunder means international observers can now get a closer estimate to the number of troops Russia has lost during the Ukraine war.

The MoD added: "Extrapolating Teplinksy’s figures endorses the assessment that at least 50 percent of the 30,000 paratroopers who deployed to Ukraine in 2022 have been killed or wounded."

Secrecy around the death toll of Russian troops fighting in Ukraine has been breached a handful of times.

Even president Putin managed to let slip a massive number of casualties and blows to the armoured divisions of his military might, revealing they had lost a number of tanks.

In a rare slip of the tongue, the warmonger said: "As for our losses – let the Defence Ministry talk about other indicators and personnel – I said they lost over 160 tanks and we lost 54 tanks, some of which can be restored and repaired."

Ukrainian publication Kyiv Post claims more than 249,000 troops sent to Ukraine by Russia have been lost, as well as 4,237 tanks and 8,262 armoured vehicles, numbers which the Kremlin has refuted or refused to confirm.
