Porn star raked in £10k a week after ‘X-rated’ Big Brother appearance

A former porn star ended up making £10,000 a week from X-rated films – and moved from a Bristol council house to the Playboy mansion.

Lianne Young’s career began when she responded to an advert in 1999, aged 24.

However, her big break came on US TV show Sex Survivor in 2001.

Lianne, now 41, told the Daily Mirror: “It was like X-rated Big Brother and gave me a luxury life, parties.”

However, Lianne retired “exhausted” at 27 and is now a counsellor for the Metropolitan Police’s Sexual Violence Unit.

She reckons more people are turning to porn as a career as the coronavirus crisis wreaks havoc on the UK economy.

Lianne said “many are turning to a porn career after losing jobs in lockdown”.

She continued: “Porn isn’t going anywhere. But we can make it safer.”

Lianne is also hoping TV drama Adult Material will help break down taboos about blue movies.

The four-part series, which began airing on Channel 4 this month, focuses on the sex industry.

Lianne addd: “I applaud Channel 4 for opening this conversation.

"As a single mum who went into the industry to make money, parts of Adult Material felt like watching my own life.

"Sometimes it was degrading but I didn’t feel used.”

The series focuses on mum-of-three and porn star Jolene Dollar, played by Hayley Squires.

Earlier this month, a porn star launched an “erection season” website in a bid to get fans voting in the US election by “appealing to their penises”.

Cherie DeVille, who previously announced a presidential bid with rapper Coolio, hopes the ErectionSeason website will get them motivated to go the polls on November 3.

The left-leaning adult film actress, 42, of North Carolina, claims the initiative is aimed at everyone, not just Democrats.

She even announced she was bidding for the Presidency in August 2017 with her running mate, rapper Coolio.

Her new website mixes sex and politics with a video explaining her project and links to voter information for all 50 US states, as reported in the New York Post.

She said: "There is so much at stake. I want to convince anyone I can, even if I have to appeal to their penis.

"I think that the country is going through a lot and I hear a lot of people in casual conversations being very upset about a variety of things."
