Police: 8 people injured in two separate traffic crashes in Denver

Two separate traffic crashes in Denver on Saturday resulted in eight people being hospitalized.

The first crash involved three vehicles in the Sun Valley area near West 10th and Hazel Court, Denver police said in a 12:06 p.m. tweet.

Four people were taken to the hospital, the extent of their injures were not released.

A second cash Saturday, also involving three vehicles, happened in the Cherry Creek area near East 3rd Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, police said in a 1:09 p.m. tweet.

The later crash involved injuries described as serious and four people were taken to a hospital, according to police. The cause of the crashes are under investigation.
