Mum wears t-shirt with daughters dismembered body at suspects court hearing

A mother of a murdered 18-year-old woman wore a T-shirt of her daughter's dismembered body as she attended her killer's court appeal.

Alessandra Verni, mother of Pamela Mastropietro who was murdered in January 2018 by Nigerian drug dealer Innocent Oseghale, made the shocking statement as he appeals the sexual assault conviction he was found originally guilty for.

Attending the appeal court in Perugia, Italy, on Wednesday (January 25), Verni demonstrated the horrific nature of her daughter's last moments through her printed T-shirt.

The court room was subject to several heated moments as Verni and Oseghale were forced to be dragged away from each other by police after multiple outbursts.

Verni said: "Have you seen what they did to her? That man, who raped and tortured her, should rot in jail."

Her T-shirt portrayed her daughter's dismembered head and her detached body parts from the harrowing 2018 murder.

Oseghale, 32, was found guilty and sentenced to jail in 2019 for murdering the teenager and after being asked whether he was to participate in the court's next hearing in February, he said he would not.

The 32-year-old's refusal was not met kindly with Verni who yelled: "Now even an executioner is asked if he wants to participate in the hearing or not.

"Let's throw it a red carpet at this point as well."

The two then came face-to-face and squared up to each other in the court room while police led Oseghale out of the court room, he shouted: "Enough judicial oppression".

Drug dealer Oseghale detained, raped, and stabbed Mastropietro as he was accused of selling her drugs following her departure from an addiction recovery centre.

Her dismembered body was found inside two abandoned suitcases a day after they met by a passer-by.

An autopsy showed that Mastropietro cause of death was due to successive abdominal stabbings and her dismemberment occurred while the 18-year-old was still alive.

The Nigerian was accused of murder, sexual assault, concealment, and destruction of a body as he was later found guilty and sentenced to life in prison, with 18 months to be spent in solitary confinement.
