German investigators hunting for Madeleine McCann have sent coordinates given to them by a 'psychic detective' to their team in Portugal, the Daily Star understands.
This week police have been searching the Barragem do Arade reservoir – around 30miles from where the Leicestershire girl went missing in Praia da Luz in 2007 – with officials from Portugal, Germany and the UK all at the scene.

Braunschweig prosecutor Christian Wolters said the case's first major search in nine years came following "certain tips". He did not expand further.
The Daily Star previously reported how Wolters had conversations with German clairvoyant Michael Schneider regarding previous missing persons cases.
The self-described seer claims to have solved at least 25 missing persons cases since he started aiding investigations on a voluntary basis in 2006.
Explaining how he works, he previously told the Daily Star: "I look at a photo of the missing person or animal and ask myself to God whether the creature is dead or alive and get an answer through my inner voice that is almost always correct."
He then consults a map and comes up with a location.
Schneider maintains Madeleine "is located in the Algarve in Odiaxere", a municipality some 20mi from the reservoir currently being investigated.
Schneider has sent his coordinates to Portuguese, German and British investigators repeatedly.
In an email handed exclusively to the Daily Star this week, Schneider is seen to send those same coordinates again to Wolters and German Federal Crime Agency (BKA) director Christian Hoppe.
Hoppe's office then appears to have forwarded them onto a Mr Grimm, seemingly Rainer Grimm.
According to Portuguese outlet Expresso, Grimm is leading the Madeleine probe for the BKA in Portugal and is among the investigators at the reservoir.
"I don't want to withhold the following message from Seer Schneider from you. The StA [public prosecutor's office] is also written to. Flexible handling will probably not be possible," the message from Hoppe's office – originally in German – read, accompanying Schneider's coordinates.
The Daily Star contacted the BKA's press office to confirm whether Schneider's coordinates were sent to Portugal, and whether they would be investigated.
The BKA told us to contact the Braunschweig public prosecutor's office. The Daily Star reached out to the Braunschweig public prosecutor's office and is awaiting reply.
