A terrifying video circulating on social media shows a man desperately trying to fight off an "out of control" dog after it broke free from its owner and attacked commuters in a London train station.
The savage attack happened at New Malden station in north London on Friday afternoon (May 20) when the canine went berserk and attacked one other person.
Video taken from residents living in a nearby building shows the moment the dog turned on the man in a blue vest right by a bus stop.
The man falls to the ground and struggles to subdue the dog as it mauls and sinks its teeth on his lower legs.
He is seen repeatedly kicking the dog and stamping one foot on its head to get the crazed animal off of him.
Eventually, he manages to grab hold of the dog’s leash and get his knee on its back.
A nearby witness jumps in to help keep the dog at bay while the man moves away to rest and makes a phone call.
British Transport Police were called to reports of a dog attacking members of the public on Friday afternoon (May 20) and arrested the 22-year-old owner on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control.
They also confirmed that the dog was seized following the attack.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Paramedics also attended and one person was taken to a local hospital for treatment, he has since been released after receiving stitches.

"A second person was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
"A 22-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control and conveyed to police custody.
"She has been released under investigation."
