G7 meeting CANCELLED: Foreign ministers to talk via video link due to coronavirus spread

The meeting was to be held in Pittsburgh on March 24 – 25 but has been cancelled as “an abundance of caution”. In a statement, Mr Michael Pompeo, the US secretary of state, said “ We thank the city of Pittsburgh for its willingness to host this year’s G7 ministerial and for the support and assistance planning this year’s event. We look forward to holding future events there.

Foreign ministers from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Canada were supposed to attend the meeting at the Omni William Penn.
