A family made a 250 mile round-trip from Essex to eat at Binley Mega Chippy in Coventry, only to find the place was closed when they arrived.
Simon Harris took his four children – seven-year-old Luke, five-year-old Emma, four-year-old James and Thomas, who's only one – to the takeaway-turned-TikTok sensation after the little ones had become obsessed with its catchy jingle on social media.

"The kids were more excited than I was to go to the chippy," said Simon, 38.
"Luke and Emma love watching TikTok videos and there was one point where you couldn't move for Binley Mega Chippy videos all playing that catchy tune."
However, while the shop is open on Sundays according to Google, the sign in the window said otherwise.
"There were four or five other groups of people there too who had obviously done the same thing," added Simon.

Binley Mega Chippy owner Kamal Gandhi, 70, said things had "gone crazy" in the seven months since he'd taken over.
Indeed, since the business went global it's welcomed customers from as far away as Australia and Texas eager to try his grub.
