Members of the Cabinet met inside No10 Downing Street at 8.30am this morning, just 12 hours after they were appointed.
The new Prime Minister yesterday set out three areas of immediate priority that her Government would tackle.
She has promised to focus her attention on getting a grip of the energy crisis, reducing taxes, and dealing with the backlog in the NHS as a matter of urgency.
A plan on how to fix skyrocketing energy bills is set to be announced as soon as tomorrow.
Ahead of the Cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister’s deputy, Therese Coffey, said Ms Truss recognised the need to “hit the ground running”.
She added the new Cabinet “will continue to make sure that we do strain every sinew, put everything that we can in order to get our economy growing again”.
